Diamond Astro Boy

In celebration of Astro Boys upcoming birthday, a 10-centimeter scale replica, made of precious stones, of Astro Boy is on displar at the Nihonbashi Takashimaya Co., Ltd store. Astro's black hair and pants are made of nine 54-carat black diamonds, his boots are made of ten 14-carat rubies and his green belt with one 7-carat emerald. Ten 89-carat diamonds are used for his other parts. The model cost aproximately 100-million yen (US$840,000) and is not currently for sale. A picture can be see here.
