Moyashimon: Tales of Agriculture Anime to Air in Fall

Ultimatum notes that the eleventh issue of 2007 for the biweekly Evening seinen manga magazine (officially on sale May 8) has reportedly announced the anime adaptation of Masayuki Ishikawa's Moyashimon: Tales of Agriculture. The anime will air on Fuji TV's popular late-night "Noitamina" (animation spelled backwards) timeslot in October. The Tezuka Cultural Prize-nominated manga depicts an agricultural college student who perceives fungi and viruses as super-deformed characters. Despite the manga's crossover appeal to female fans, the anime will cement Noitamina's shift away from its former female audience target, a shift that started with 2006's Hataraki Man.
