Media Blasters Sets Dates for Phoenix, New Licenses

2004 anime of Tezuka's Phoenix, several titles announced at AX scheduled
Two weeks after revealing several new licenses at Anime Expo, Media Blasters has confirmed specific release dates for some of them. Golden Boy is scheduled for October 2, Angel's Feather for October 30, and Step Up Love Story (Futari Ecchi) for November 27. The first of two volumes of No Money will also be released on October 30. It will be joined by the first volume of Hi no Tori (Phoenix), a 13-episode television version of the late Osamu Tezuka's classic manga. Hi no Tori, which Media Blasters licensed early in 2005, was co-produced by the New York City-based PBS affiliate WNET/Thirteen. Phoenix volume 2 is currently set for a December 4 release.
