Manga Section to be Set Up in 900 Trans World Stores

posted on by Egan Loo
The Publishers Weekly magazine reports that Trans World Entertainment (TWE), the owner of the F.Y.E., Sam Goody, Saturday Matinee, Suncoast, and Wherehouse Music chain stores, has signed the wholesaler Bookazine to develop and manage a manga section in all of the over 900 stores TWE owns. The initiative is part of Bookazine's larger Popazine pop culture venture led by John Davis, a former director of sales at Central Park Media. When it was owned by Musicland, Suncoast was known for its support of anime and manga, but Musicland Group's January 2006 bankruptcy caused significant fallout in the North American anime and manga industries.
