IATV to Screen Bandai Entertaiment Anime on Wednesdays

posted on by Egan Loo
My-HiME, Ghost Slayers Ayashi to start next week; Johnny Sokko also added

The IATV channel in North America plans to show Bandai Entertainment anime every Wednesday night as part of its revamping of the former ImaginAsian TV brand that starts next week. Beginning in the week of June 30, the new IATV schedule will run the My-HiME (pictured at right) and Ghost Slayers Ayashi anime series on that evening. It will also show Bandai Entertainment's The Great Horror Family live-action collection and live-action Bloodhound series.

The network will begin showing Johnny Sokko, the English dubbed version of the original 1967-1968 live-action Giant Robo series (pictured at left), on Thursdays. The new IATV will show other Asian-related programming, but will also begin showing science-fiction movies and other programming not necessarily related to Asia. IA Media hired Adam Ware as its new president earlier this month.
