Summit Entertainment will be hosting a booth (#3530) where visitors can get an "
Astro Boy Hair Makeover" at Comic-Con International on Saturday at San Diego, California. From 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., fans can get "the superhero's iconic, black pointed-hair look" from
Osamu Tezuka's classic manga and anime. The booth will also host the film's director
David Bowers (Shark Tale) and producer
Maryann Garger, and oversized
Astro Boy bags will be given out throughout the convention.
Summit Entertainment will release the film, which
features an all-star cast led by
Freddie Highmore (Finding Neverland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Spiderwick Chronicles) in the title role and
Nicolas Cage (Leaving Las Vegas, The Rock, National Treasure), worldwide in 2009.
