2nd Death Note Film to Run in Canadian Theaters Tonight

Death Note II: The Last Name, the second live-action film based on Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's suspense manga, will run in select Cineplex Entertainment and Empire Theatres locations in Canada tonight. The film concludes the theatrical retelling of the deadly cat-and-mouse game between a boy who can put people to death with a supernatural notebook, and the genius detective who tracks down the young vigilante. Like the first film's screenings and the American screenings of the second film, the Canadian screenings of the second film will have English dubbing, an exclusive behind-the-scenes featurette, and an interview with Kaneko.

Viz Media will ship the DVD version on February 10, after having already released the first film's DVD, the original manga, a television anime series, and a spinoff novel.
