Tokyo's Chuo Train Line Made into Moe Boy Characters

posted on by Egan Loo
5 personifications of train stations star in Miracle Train's online manga, novel

Not-So-Daily Link of the Day: Chuo Line, the heavily travelled Japan Railways train line that runs east to west through the heart of Tokyo, is being anthropomorphized into moe boy characters with an online manga and novel. The "Miracle Train ~Chūō-sen e Yōkoso~" (Miracle Train: Welcome to the Chuo Line) project even gives each character a voice actor. Five of the Chūō train stations have been turned into the proud leader Zero Tōkyō (Hiroyuki Yoshino, center of image), the girl-wooing Shintarō Shinjuku (Ryōtarō Okiayu, far left), the ramen-loving otaku Riku Nakano (Hiroshi Kamiya, center right), the charming yet acerbic Takuto Kichijōji (Miyu Irino, center left), and the gentle yet risk-taking Lune Tachikawa (Kōki Miyata, far right). The web manga started on Monday, while the novel will begin on March 16. Tomohisa Kai (Sentimental Graffiti, Marginal Prince) designed the characters.
