"Marin no Kore Naani?" slated for November; Ai no Kusabi, Broken Blade in 2010

The official website for the television anime adaptation of the Umi Monogatari (Sea Story) "magical maiden fantasy" pachinko games has begun streaming a one-minute clip from the "Marin no Kore Naani?" series of video anime shorts on Friday. The second DVD volume and later volumes of Umi Monogatari ~Anata ga Ite Kureta Koto~ will bundle the "Marin no Kore Naani?" shorts starting on November 22.

The 140-second promotional video for the new video anime remake of Rieko Yoshihara's Ai no Kusabi boys-love novels began streaming on the official website on Friday. (In the linked page, select the "Special" menu item at the bottom, and then select the "PV コミックマーケット76にて上映" button.) The video was first screened at this past summer's Comic Market 76 convention in Tokyo. The previously available 140-second trailer is also still streaming from the same website. The future romance story centers on the relationship between Iason, a member of the elite class, and his "mongrel" pet human Riki. AIC, the studio behind the first anime adaptation of the novels, is slated to launch the new 13-volume anime series this fall. Digital Manga Publishing announced its license for the original novels at Yaoi-Con in 2006, and released the sixth volume this past summer.

The official website for the six-part theatrical anime adaptation of Yunosuke Yoshinaga's Broken Blade (Break Blade) alternate-world robot manga is streaming the a new 17-second trailer. (In the linked page, select the "Trailer Part 2" button near the bottom.) Like the previous trailers, the new one does not contain actual animated footage. Flex Comix publishes the manga in Japan, while CMX Manga will publish the second manga volume in North America in December. The films will launch in Japan next year.
