Kodansha Adds New U.S. Shugo Chara!, Until the Full Moon Manga

Love Hina, Tokyo Mew Mew Omnibuses in September; Shugo Chara-chan!, @Full Moon in November

Japanese publisher Kodansha's U.S.-based Kodansha Comics division announced on Wednesday that it will release the manga sequels to Peach-Pit's Shugo Chara! (titled Shugo Chara-chan!) and Sanami Matoh's Until the Full Moon (titled @Full Moon) this November, as well as omnibus editions of Reiko Yoshida and Mia Ikumi's Tokyo Mew Mew and of Ken Akamatsu's Love Hina in September.

Shugo Chara-chan! is Napthalene Mizushima and Kinomin's super-deformed (SD) 4-panel gag manga series based on the original Peach-Pit manga. To date, Kodansha has released four volumes of the series in Japan.

@Full Moon is Sanami Matoh's follow-up to her own Until the Full Moon manga series, following the characters David (a vampire) and Marlo (a man who turns into a beautiful woman during the @Full Moon). Kodansha has released two volumes of the series in Japan.

Kodansha previously released Love Hina in "bilingual" form, but did not complete the run. North American manga localizer Tokyopop later acquired the rights to the series and completed its 14-volume run, but the license expired along with Tokyopop's other Kodansha titles in 2009.

Del Rey Manga released the Tokyo Mew Mew manga in North America until Kodansha took over the publication of its titles.
