Kagaku na Yatsura Video Anime Slated for February 2013

Japanese publisher Akita Shoten has revealed that the original video anime adaptation of Hideaki Yoshikawa's Kagaku na Yatsura manga will be bundled with the manga's fourth volume, which will ship on February 20, 2013. The limited-edition version of the fourth volume, which bundles the video anime on a Blu-ray Disc, will retail for 4,980 yen (about US$63).
The "science trouble" romantic comedy follows a cyborg girl and a half-dog girl who go to extremes with the power of science. The video anime's cast includes Ryota Ohsaka, Toa Yukimura, Ringo Aoba, Ryō Kasumi, Rino Kawashima, and Yuana Miyazawa. Given the risqué nature of the material, these names are not necessarily the cast members' actual names.
Hiraku Kaneko (Qwaser of Stigmata, Manyū Hiken-chō) is directing the anime, Masaya Nozaki (key animator on Seikon no Qwaser, The Book of Bantorra) is handling the character design, and Katsuhiko Takayama (ef: a tale of melodies, Cat Planet Cuties) is handling the screenplay.
