Crunchyroll to Stream gdgd Fairies 2 Anime Sequel

Media service Crunchyroll announced on Friday that it will begin streaming the gdgd Fairies 2 television anime series on January 9 at 1:40 p.m. EST. Crunchyroll did not specify which regions will be able to view the streams.
The fully computer-animated series centers around three little fairies with weak magical powers who live inside the trees in Fairy Forest.
Lead voice actresses Suzuko Mimori, Kaoru Mizuhara, and Satomi Akesaka are reprising their roles for the second season. Sōta Sugahara will again be handling the planning and character design, and is also serving as director. Writer Kōtarō Ishidate will not be returning for the second season. Instead, Taizō Yamamoto and Kazuyuki Osabe are handling the scripts. Jun'ichi Inoue will return to score the music.
Crunchyroll streamed the first season worldwide outside of Japan in 2011.
