Yamato 2199 Anime to Launch Overseas as Star Blazers 2199

The web simulcast for the Space Battleship Yamato 2199 anime announced on Sunday that the series is launching overseas under the title Star Blazers 2199. The hosts did not specify when or where Star Blazers 2199 will be available, nor in which languages.
With Space Battleship Yamato 2199, director Yutaka Izubuchi (RahXephon) is remaking the classic space opera anime Space Battleship Yamato. The project debuted in Japan last April as a series of theatrical films, but it was planned from the beginning as a television series as well. The first episode aired on television earlier this month. The original Space Battleship Yamato television anime series was dubbed and partly rewritten in English as Star Blazers.
