Girls & Panzer Event Bars Adult Items After Alleged Threat

The "Sailor Fuku to Senshadō" dōjinshi event exclusively for the Girls und Panzer anime announced on Saturday that it is changing venues within the town of Oarai in Ibaraki Prefecture. (The anime itself takes place in the seaside town of Oarai, and utilizes many actual landmarks and locations as a setting for the story.) The event organizers also announced that it is barring the distribution of adult items at the new venue.
"Wadatsumi" of the circle "Hōtō Opera House," one of the circles selling items at the event, reported on Tuesday that the event gave sellers more information about the change in a letter dated April 25. According to the letter, the changes were the result of a threatening e-mail message or messages that the original venue received in mid-April over adult items.
The dōjinshi event is still scheduled to be held as planned on May 4.
The town of Oarai previously hosted an event celebrating the television anime series in March.
