Case Closed

Kudo Shinichi at the age of seventeen had it all, great looks, a cute high-school sweetheart and the reputation of being the "Modern Sherlock Holmes". However when Shinichi witnesses the actions of the sinister Black Organisation he is kidnapped by their agents and killed. However the mysterious drug the Black Organisation uses to eliminate people causes a unique reaction in Shinichi and instead of killing him the drug just reverts Shinichi to seven years old. Now Shinichi must insert himself in his girlfriend's life undercover as Conan Edogawa in order to protect himself and his friends whole he investigates murders and mysteries that might lead Shinichi to be able to find the Black Organisation and become seventeen again.

Adapted from the long running manga series "Meitantei Conan" by Gōshō Aoyama the anime is produced by TMS Entertainment. The original manga started in 1994 in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday and has published over 80 volumes to date. The anime series for comparison has been running by 1996 and has broadcast over 700 episodes and over 30 movies and specials. Now here's where it's tricky, in 2004 Funimation licensed the first 104 episodes under the legally secure name "Case Closed" however the broadcaster (Adult Swim in this case) only broadcast the first 50 episodes and then canceled the series. Also Animax have produced their own English dub of Case Closed that was broadcast primarily in Asia as Detective Conan which ran for 52 episodes. We have yet to confirm which release Hanabee will be using.

Hanabee's release will be in two parts and run for 52 episodes on DVD with original Japanese audio and subtitles alongside the English dub. The part 1 release does not have a set date yet.

Girls und Panzer

In a world very different to ours, the art of tankery (Sensha-dō) is considered a traditional Japanese martial art for girls. That's correct, maintaining and using world war II machines is considered a part of the Japanese school curriculum. When Miho transfers into the Ōrai Girls' Academy to get away from tankery, she is quickly pulled in by the head-master in order to help the school re-kindle the martial art and create a school team capable of competing in the national tankery championships.

Mizushima (Squid Girl, Another, Blood-C, xxxHOLiC) is helmed the anime at Moetan's studio ACTAS (with 3D CGI by Strike Witches' Graphinica) with Reiko Yoshida (K-ON!, Romeo × Juliet, Saint Seiya Omega) in charge of scripts. Humikane Shimada (Strike Witches, Sky Girls) was in charge of original character designs with assistance by Takeshi Nogami (Strike Witches: The Witches of Andorra, Panzer fräulein ALTESEISEN, Sailor-fuku to Jūsensha). Isao Sugimoto (Seikon no Qwaser II, Kemeko Deluxe!, Moonlight Mile) adapted Shimada's designs for anime and serving as chief animation director.

Hanabee will be releasing Girls und Panzer in two parts, with Part 1 containing all the TV episodes and two bonus episodes and will be released on the 5th of March 2014 on Blu-ray and DVD. Part 2 will contain the six OVA episodes and be released at some point in the future. Both releases will contain the English dub and Japanese audio and subtitles.
