ToHeart 2's Yurina Hase/Yurika Ochiai Takes Break From New Voice Acting

Will still continue performing roles in ongoing projects

Voice actress Yurina Hase (stage name Yurika Ochiai) confirmed on her blog on Sunday that she is taking a hiatus from voice acting as of April 30. However, she emphasized that since she still has roles in ongoing projects, she will continue performing those particular roles. She added that she has something else she wants to do.

She had posted on Twitter on March 30 that she made up her mind about "graduation" to concentrate solely on singing. However, she later denied her own comments. In her Sunday blog entry, she obliquely referenced her Twitter posts: "I think people kind of noticed."

Yurina Hase is most famous for her roles as Konomi Yuzuhara in ToHeart 2, and as Yukiho Hagiwara in the original The IDOLM@STER Xbox 360 video game. She also played Thursday in Disgaea, Rara in Futakoi, and Yurika in Lovege Chu - Miracle Seiyū Hakusho.

Hase received multiple death threats in 2009, causing her stress. She later resigned from her role in the The IDOLM@STER series as Yukiho, and was replaced by Azumi Asakura.
