Love Live, Sound Horizon Set Records With Latest Blu-rays

The first special limited edition Blu-ray Disc volume for the second Love Live! season sold 82,119 copies to rank #1 — not just among anime Blu-ray Discs, but all Blu-ray Discs in Japan — during the June 16-22 week. It is the second volume in the television anime franchise to accomplish this feat, after the final volume of the first season did so last September. The latest volume also sold the most copies of any volume in the franchise in its first week.
The musical group Sound Horizon also set a personal record when they sold 18,390 copies of The Assorted Horizon to rank #3 on the overall weekly Blu-ray Disc chart. The 10th anniversary Blu-ray Disc is Sound Horizon's first ever release to top the music DVD/Blu-ray Disc category in the weekly charts.
