Hanabee Adds Amnesia to Anime on Demand

posted on by Jon Hayward
Hanabee is now streaming Amnesia on Hanabee.com.au.

The announcement was made via Hanabee's facebook page. This announcement follows on from the previous streaming announcements of Accel World (announcement here), WATAMOTE and The Familiar of Zero (news can be viewed here).

All 12 episodes of Amnesia are now available on Hanabee.com.au to watch.

Amnesia

Based on Idea Factory's otome visual novel of the same name, Amnesia starts with the Heroine awakening in a cafe and realising she has lost her memories. Suddenly a spirit appears in midair and reveals he was responsible for the Heroine losing her memories and that while he shall help her regain them, she must keep her Amnesia a secret. Now the Heroine must work with the spirit and the handsome gents she finds surrounding her life to piece together what really happened.

The original game was released on PSP in 2011 with Amnesia Later in 2012, Amnesia Crowd in 2013 also on the system. A port, Amnesia: V Edition was released for PSVita in December 2013 and another sequel, Amnesia World is slated for PSVita at the end of May 2014.

The anime was produced by Brains Base under the direction of Yoshimitsu Ohashi (Galaxy Angel) with series composition handled by Touko Machida (Karneval, Inari Kon Kon). Mai Hanamura's original character designs were adapted by animation director Maho Yoshikawa (The irregular at magic high school). The series originally aired from the beginning of January 2013 and ran for 12 episodes.

Amnesia was streamed by Crunchyroll almost everywhere, including Australia and New Zealand and while Sentai Filmworks licensed the series in North America back in December 2013 and was released in June 2014.

Hanabee originally announced Amnesia in April 2014 and has since released Amnesia on on DVD and Blu-ray in July 2014.
