3rd, 7th BD/DVD volumes to each include 1 OVA episode in 2015

The official website for P.A. Works' Shirobako anime has revealed that two of the show's Blu-ray Disc and DVD releases will include an OVA episode. The first OVA, titled "Exodus!," will ship on February 25 with the third volume, and the second OVA will ship on June 24 with the seventh volume.

The television anime series premiered in Japan on October 9, and a manga adaptation titled Shirobako ~Ueyama Kōkō Animation Dōkōkai (Shirobako: Ueyama High School Animation Club) by Mizutama debuted in the November issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Dengeki Daioh magazine on September 27. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs.

Shirobako follows five girls as they work to succeed in the anime industry in writing, production, and voice acting.

The series stars:

Tsutomu is directing the series at P.A. Works. Ponkan8 designed the original characters and Kanami Sekiguchi adapted them for the anime series. Michiko Yokote is overseeing the series and Tsutomu Mizushima is directing the sound. Yoko Ishida is performing the opening theme "Colorful Box," and Juri Kimura, Haruka Yoshimura, and Haruka Chisuga are performing the ending theme "Animetic Love Letter."

Kenji Sugihara is drawing the manga adaptation of the series.

Update: Sentai Filmworks has not licensed the series.

Update 2: Crunchyroll link, name spelling typo fixed. Thanks, The Coffee God and Hameyadea.

Update 3: Although Crunchyroll's description mentions that the anime is based on a manga by Kenji Sugihara, the series is not based on a manga and is an original series. Thanks, Megiddo and Blanchimont.
