Idol Minami Takahashi to Graduate From AKB48

Minami Takahashi, a member and "general director" of the idol group AKB48, announced during the ninth anniversary performance at the AKB48 Theater on Monday that she will graduate from the group. She said that she will leave the group exactly one year later on December 8, 2015. Yui Yokoyama will replace Takahashi as the general director.
Takahashi is a well-known manga fan, and she visited Anime Expo in 2009 as part of her group. She voiced a small role in Dragon Ball Z Kai.
