Dengeki PlayStation magazine will announce on December 25 that Strea (voiced by Sachika Misawa) and Argo (Shiori Izawa) will join Bandai Namco Games' Sword Art Online: Lost Song PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. The magazine unveiled their designs for ALfheim Online. Argo will play a Cait Sith and Strea will be a Gnome.

Izawa played Argo in the anime and Misawa played Strea when first appeared in the Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment PlayStation Portable game.

Kadokawa's Dengeki PlayStation magazine confirmed in November that Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment's Philia (voiced by Yui Ishikawa) will appear in the game.

Bandai Namco Games is localizing the game in English and Chinese for Asian markets. Bandai Namco Games' Yōsuke Futami said that Lost Song's English translation will be better than Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment.

Sword Art Online: Lost Song's PlayStation 3 version will cost 7,120 yen (about US$66), and the PlayStation Vita version will cost 6,170 yen (US$57). A limited edition that includes box art by abec, an original soundtrack CD, a Blu-ray Disc with special content, a mini-clear poster, and a special booklet will retail at 9,980 yen (US$92).

Bandai Namco Games unveiled the game's development at the 2014 Tokyo Game Show stage event on September 19. Reki Kawahara's Sword Art Online light novel series already inspired the Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment and Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment games for the PlayStation Vita system. The light novels also inspired two television anime series.

The game will ship in Japan on March 26.
