Code Geass: Akito the Exiled Anime's Digest, Suzaku Videos Streamed

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Anime project's delayed 3rd episode to premiere on May 2

The official website for the Code Geass: Akito the Exiled anime project began streaming a 10-minute special digest video and a Suzaku Kururugi promotional video for the third episode on Friday. The digest video compiles scenes from the ongoing project's third episode, "Kagayaku Mono Ten Yori Otsu" (Something Sparkling Falling From Heaven). The Suzaku video introduces the Knight of Seven with footage from the two television anime series as well as Code Geass: Akito the Exiled.

The third episode will premiere in theaters in Japan on May 2. The fourth and final episode, "Nikushimi no Kioku Kara" (From the Memories of Hatred), will premiere on July 4.

Special advance screenings of the third episode will be held in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya on April 26. People who attend the premium advance screenings will receive an exclusive set of five genga illustrations.

To celebrate the third episode's theatrical release, Bandai Visual began streaming all episodes of the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 as well as the first two episodes of Code Geass: Akito the Exiled. Bandai Visual is streaming the episodes for free until May 1.

Bandai Visual also began streaming a Code Geass "5-minute course" video narrated by Masaya Matsukaze (voice of Shin Hyuuga Shaingu) on Tuesday. The video explains the series' appeal by highlighting the story's setting, Geass power, and characters.

The second episode of Code Geass: Akito the Exiled premiered in September 2013, and the third episode was scheduled to premiere last spring, but it was delayed.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion premiered in Japan in 2006, while Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 premiered in 2008. The Adult Swim network aired both series in North America in 2008.
