posted on by Karen Ressler
The official website for Kayu Suzuo's Nekokirai no Ie ni Umareta Nekosuki ga Neko to Kurashi E Nikki (Picture Diary of Cat Lover, Who Was Born into a Family of Cat Haters, Living With Cats) manga announced on Thursday that the manga will get a Flash anime adaptation beginning on August 1. The short episodes will air on Chūkyō TV's "Nyan da? Full Channel," a late-night television block dedicated solely to cat characters.
Emi Hirayama will voice all the characters in the anime. Hiroshi Namiki will direct the shorts.
The autobiographical manga utilizes both drawings and photos of cats to chronicle the life of a woman who lives by herself in order to live with her cats. She is described as a "himono-onna," a Japanese slang word that means "a woman who is proper in public but lazy at home."
The series runs on NHN Play Art's free manga smartphone app comico. The first full-color manga volume will ship on August 5 in Japan.
