Site schedules streaming of God Eater on Tuesdays

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Monday that it is streaming the Wakako-zake television anime. Crunchyroll began streaming the show's first seven episodes tonight at 8:00 p.m. EDT. It will then stream the series as it airs in Japan, with a new episode every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. EDT.

The streams are available worldwide except for Japan.

The show premiered in Japan on July 5.

Crunchyroll describes the series:

Murasaki Wakako is a 26-year-old OL that loves nothing more than delicious food and drink.

Wakako's favorite thing to do for relaxation is to go off by herself after work and go to various places to eat and drink, even if she's never been there before. The moment Wakako is able to taste the pairing between the food she wants to eat and the perfect accompanying drink, the happy sound of "Pshuuu" leaves her lips. Now, then. Where shall we drink tonight?

Crunchyroll also announced that it is streaming the live-action television series 99 Days With the Superstar (Boku to Star no 99 Nichi). The stream is already available for Crunchyroll Premium members, and will be made available at four episodes a week for free members.

The streams will be available in the United States, Canada, Latin America, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe (except for Russia).

Crunchyroll describes the live-action series:

Namiki Kohei is a 38-years old bachelor who has worked part time at a security company for twenty years. His boss is Saegusa Emiko, who assigns him the detail to bodyguard Han Yoo-Na. Yoo-Na is a South Korean superstar actress who has come to Japan to star in a drama series “Blank Memory”; her stay is for 99 days.

Crunchyroll also announced that its previously announced stream of the God Eater television anime will be available on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. EDT.

The streams will be available in the United States, Central America, South America, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

The series premiered on July 5 and was originally exclusive to Daisuki. The anime was also added on Hulu.

Anime Consortium Japan (ACJ) describes the series as follows:

The Far East, 2071.
The domain of the mad gods.

In the early 2050s, unknown life forms called “Oracle cells” begin their uncontrolled consumption of all life on Earth.
Their ravenous appetite and remarkable adaptability earn them first dread, then awe, and finally the name “aragami”.
In the face of an enemy completely immune to conventional weapons, urban civilization collapses, and each day humanity is driven further and further toward extinction.

One single ray of hope remains for humanity.
Following the development of “God Arcs”—living weapons which incorporate Oracle cells—their wielders are organized into an elite force.
In a world ravaged by mad gods, these “God Eaters” fight a desperate war...
