Resident Evil: The Marhawa Desire artist also plans new Saru Lock series

Manga artist Naoki Serizawa announced on Twitter on Tuesday that he wants to start a new manga series either at the end of this year, or early next year. He noted in the post that he had just met with an editor of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine.

Serizawa stated last November that he plans to begin a new series in Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine this year. He previously announced in January 2015 that he is planning a new Saru Lock series for Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine, unrelated to the November announcement.

Serizawa is also currently drawing the art for Muneyuki Kaneshiro's Billion Dogs manga and the story and art for Biohazard: heavenly island. Viz Media is publishing his previous Resident Evil: The Marhawa Desire manga in North America and Media Blasters published Samurai Man. His Saru Lock manga inspired a live-action film adaptation and TV drama in 2009.

Billion Dogs is currently running on DeNA's Manga Box app in both Japanese and English.
