Hidamari ga Kikoeru Boys-Love Manga Gets Live-Action Film

Yuki Fumino's Hidamari ga Kikoeru (I Hear the Sunspot) boys-love manga is receiving a live-action film adaptation. Printemps Shuppan published the compiled book volume of the sequel manga, Hidamari ga Kikoeru: Kōfuku-ron- (I Hear the Sunspot: Theory of Happiness), and its wraparound jacket band announced the film on Friday.
The original manga's story centers on a deaf college student named Kōhei who has gotten used to being misunderstood. Taichi, a classmate with a cheerful personality, runs into Kōhei while job hunting. Taichi's ignorance of Kōhei's condition starts their relationship off with its own misunderstanding. However, Taichi soon learns about Kōhei's deafness, and the students start to become more than friends.
The sequel manga's story begins when Kōhei's junior, a deaf female student, enrolls at their school.
Hidamari ga Kikoeru is Fumino's debut work, and it launched in Printemps Shuppan's Canna magazine in 2013. Printemps Shuppan published the series in one compiled volume in October 2014. The series inspired a drama CD that shipped in Japan this past February.
