JK Meshi! Voice Actress Natsuko Hara Diagnosed With Treatable Cancer

Voice actress Natsuko Hara revealed on her blog on June 30 that she has been diagnosed with cancer. She was scheduled to appear at the C3_CharaExpo event in Singapore on July 9, but she has cancelled her appearance to focus on medical treatment. She apologized to those who were looking forward to the event.
She added that while she could not go into detail, the cancer can be operated on. She asks fans not to worry. She writes that she will be able to attend the "Doki Doki Festa" event on July 15.
Hara made her voice acting debut in last October's JK Meshi! series of anime shorts. She has voiced roles in such anime as Pan de Peace!, Crane Game Girls, and Onigiri. Before debuting as a voice actress, she worked as an idol, radio personality, and as an actress for both live-action television dramas and stage plays.
