People who buy the Japanese Blu-ray Discs or DVDs for The Seven Deadly Sins -Signs of Holy War- have a chance to attend "The Seven Deadly Sins Fes" event. The first Blu-ray/DVD volume will go on sale on January 11 with an advance ticket form for the event's day session, and the second Blu-ray/DVD volume will go on sale on February 8 with an advance ticket form for the event's evening session.

Nakaba Suzuki launched the original manga series in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2012, and Kodansha shipped the 22nd volume on August 17. Kodansha will release the 23rd volume on October 17.

The first television anime of the manga premiered in Japan in October 2014, and ended with 24 episodes. The manga also bundled two original video anime projects last summer. The manga then inspired The Seven Deadly Sins -Signs of Holy War- television anime special.

Kodansha Comics is releasing the manga in print in North America, and it shipped the 16th compiled volume on September 6. Crunchyroll is releasing new chapters digitally as Kodansha publishes them in Japan. Vertical will release Shuka Matsuda's The Seven Deadly Sins: The Seven Scars Left Behind (Shōsetsu Nanatsu no Taizai -Gaiden- Karera ga Nokoshita Nanatsu no Kizuato) novel in English in May 2017.
