Twin Star Exorcists Vita Game Reveals New Twin Star Candidates, January 26 Release

Mayura, 3 game-original characters are new candidates

Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming a commercial for its upcoming Twin Star Exorcists PlayStation Vita game on Tuesday. The video reveals that the game will feature other destined partners besides Benio that can be candidates for the Twin Star — including Mayura and three game-original characters designed by original creator Yoshiaki Sukeno. It also reveals the game's January 26 release date.

The November issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine revealed the game-original characters on Tuesday. The new characters include:

  • Nozomi Yamamoto as Ran Ikuno (pictured far left in image above), an innocent, airhead "little sister" type character. She has no real desire to be an exorcist.
  • Kana Hanazawa as Rimu Tennōji (second from right), a boyish person who uses the masculine pronoun "ore." She has lost some part of her memory.
  • Ami Koshimizu as Ai Katsujō (far right), a composed and seductive "older sister" type candidate. She has plenty of combat experience, and has a good relationship with Arima.

The battle and adventure game will have an original story featuring Rokuro and Benio. Players can play as Rokuro and battle alongside a team of exorcists. The adventure part of the game will be voiced.

The Twin Star Exorcists anime based on Yoshiaki Sukeno's manga premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo on April 6, and also airs on TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Hokkaido, TV Setouchi, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting. The series recently entered the anime-original "Rettō Ha Ran-hen" (Archipelago Battle for Supremacy Arc) on August 31.

Viz Media is publishing the original manga series in North America. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime series as it airs, and also plans to release the series on Blu-ray and DVD with an English dub.
