Precure Singer Mayu Kudou Announces Marriage, Retirement in April 2017

Precure franchise singer Mayu Kudou announced on her official blog on Sunday that she got married to someone outside of the industry. She additionally announced that she will retire from the public entertainment industry in April 2017.
Kudou explained that she decided to take this step in order to realize her dream and move forward "on my next path." She also thanked all of her fans, staff, family, and friends for their support during her 15 years in the industry.
Kudou has performed theme songs for many entries in the Precure franchise, including: Yes! Precure 5, Yes! Precure 5 GoGo! Heartcatch Precure!, and Suite Precure. She has also performed theme songs or insert songs for several Precure films, including: Chō Tanpen PreCure All Stars GoGo Dream Live!, Eiga Precure All Stars: Haru no Carnival, Precure All Stars New Stage 2: Kokoro no Tomodachi, Precure All Stars New Stage: Mirai no Tomodachi, and Precure All-Stars DX3 Mirai ni Todoke! Sekai o Tsunagu Niji-Iro no Hana. She also performed the opening theme song for the Uchi no 3 Shimai anime series.
Kudou also voiced Fairy Tone in the Suite Precure television anime series, and also played herself in the Yes! Precure 5 and Heartcatch Precure! television anime series.
