Shinjuku Swan Author Starts Tokyo Revengers Manga Series

This year's 13th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine launched a new manga titled Tokyo Revengers from creator Ken Wakui (Shinjuku Swan) on Wednesday. The first chapter of the "juniors dominating their seniors" manga of "suspense and revenge" has 63 pages, including an opening color page.
Weekly Shōnen Magazine's YouTube channel began streaming a preview of the manga on Tuesday.
Takemichi is a 26-year-old unemployed virgin who learns that the girl he dated in middle school — the only girl he ever dated — has died. Then, after an accident he finds himself in a time leap back to his middle school years. He vows to change the future and save the girl, and to do that he aims to rise to the top of the Kantō region's most brutal delinquent gang.
Additionally, Kodansha's Young Magazine published a special one-shot for Shinjuku Swan on Monday.
Wakui launched Shinjuku Swan in Young Magazine in 2005, and ended it in 2013. Kodansha published the manga's 38th and final compiled book volume in December 2013. The manga inspired a six-episode live-action television series in 2007 and two live-action movies in May 2015 and January 2016.
The manga follows Tatsuhiko Shiratori, a 19-year-old with no money or job in the (in)famous Kabukichō red-light district of Tokyo's Shinjuku ward. Then one day, a man named Mako recruits him to become a scout. Tatsuhiko's job has him finding new talent for clubs, adult videos, and other areas of Kabukichō's night life. Tatsuhiko has taken his first step into the cutthroat business of Tokyo's underworld.
