Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan light novel series inspired TV anime, OVA released by Media Blasters

The "Kenō Kōsoku Kōtsū" literary group revealed on Friday that Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan character designer and illustrator Torishimo passed away on February 20.

Yuki Kitagawa, an employee at the August Soft adult game company, confirmed the news on Friday, and added that the funeral took place on February 24.

Torishimo provided the original character designs and illustrations for Masaki Okayu's Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan light novel series. Dengeki Bunko published the 10-volume novel series in 2003-2007. The novel series inspired Mitsuna Ouse's manga of the same name, and Kasumu Kirino's Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan Ripiru manga.

The novels also inspired a television anime series in 2005, and the Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan Second original video anime in 2007. Media Blasters released the anime on DVD under the title Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan in 2008, and again in 2010. Both releases included the television anime and the OVA series.

Torishimo also illustrated Okayu's Moriguchi Orito no Onmyōdō light novel series. In addition, Torishimo illustrated the following light novels or light novel series: Hokato Suenaga's 108-nenme no Hatsukoi., Kou Narayama's Himitsu no Tech Girl, Ramune Wakaōji's Kichijō GOOD☆LOOKS, and Kazū's Nishigami-sanchi no Desuko-chan.

Torishimo most recently participated in the Comic Market 91 (Comiket 91) event that took place in Tokyo at the end of December.
