Chinese Comedy Manga Inspires Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai! TV Anime

Anime about violent girl, dumb brother premieres on April 7 in Japan

Animation studio Fanworks (Hagane Orchestra, Honobono Log) is producing the Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai! (There's No Cure for My Brother Being Around Me!) television anime series that based on a Chinese web comedy manga. Fanworks began streaming on Monday a promotional video that features Brian the Sun's theme song "Sunny side up."

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX1 on April 7. The series will premiere in China in March.

The original manga's story centers on a violent girl who strikes her idiot older brother. The story also focuses on sibling love, love, and food. The web manga has been read more than 500 million times online in China.

The cast includes:

Rareko (Yawaraka Sensha, Medamayaki no Kimi Itsu Tsubusu?, Gakkatsu!) is directing and writing the scripts at Imagineer and Fanworks. Tencent Penguin Pictures is producing the television anime.
