New Full Metal Panic! Blu-ray Editions Released Monday

posted on by Andrew Osmond

On Monday March 6, Anime Limited is releasing three new editions of the Full Metal Panic! franchise. Two of them are separate Blu-ray releases of the original series Full Metal Panic!, pictured right, and Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid, pictured left. (Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu will have a separate Blu-ray release on a later date.)

In addition, Anime Limited is also releasing a Limited Edition of the three seasons of Full Metal Panic! (the original series, Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu and Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid). Limited to 300 units, this edition will only be sold through the AlltheAnime website. It consists of three amaray cases in an Art Box.

Funimation will release the series Brothers Conflict as a Blu-ray. Funimation described the story:

Ema Hinata is lonely. As an only child and the daughter of a famous explorer, for most of her life her closest companion has been Juli, her talking pet squirrel. But her father is getting remarried, and her new family is…a little unorthodox. Now, she's got 13 gorgeous guys as her stepbrothers, and they're all after her heart! But is romance what she wants, or is it family?

The television anime premiered in 2013. Jun Matsumoto (Night Raid 1931, Persona -trinity soul-) directed the series at the studio Brains Base (Baccano!, Natsume's Book of Friends, Durarara!!, My Little Monster). Natsuko Takahashi (07-Ghost, Moyashimon, Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru) wrote the scripts, and Kumi Ishii (Oreimo, Red Garden, Rozen Maiden) adapted the characters in Udajo's original illustrations for animation.
