Missions of Love creator draws manga about shy girl, basketball star

Kodansha Advanced Media published the first volume of Ema Toyama's Aoba-kun ni Kikitai koto manga digitally under the title Aoba-kun's Confessions on Tuesday.

Kodansha Advanced Media describes the story:

Mayo is a high school loner who has issues with communication. She starts a peculiar job at a “Listening House,” where she silently listens to people's problems. But her first client is Aoba-kun, the star of the basketball team who is seemingly perfect! Could Aoba-kun and his complicated situation be too much for Mayo to handle?! So begins the secret relationship between the girl who lacks communication skills and the guy who seems to have it all. Enjoy the first volume of this heart-warming love story.

Toyama launched the ongoing manga in November 2015 and Kodansha published the fourth compiled volume in Japan on April 13.

Kodansha Comics publishes Toyama's award-winning Missions of Love (Watashi ni xx Shinasai!) manga in English. Kodansha Comics also released Toyama's Manga Dogs, I Am Here!, and Shugo Chara-chan!. Tokyopop previously published Toyama's Pixie Pop: Gokkun Pucho manga.
