Indonesian publisher M&C! announced on Thursday that it has licensed Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia) manga. The company did not reveal a release date for the manga.
The manga's story is set in the modern day, except people with special powers have become commonplace throughout the world. A boy named Izuku Midoriya has no powers, but he still dreams of becoming a Hero. He aims to enroll in U.A. High School, where Heroes are trained to use their powers. Under the training of All Might, the world's greatest Hero, he enters the school, now bequeathed with All Might's power.
Horikoshi launched the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2014. Shueisha published the manga's 14th compiled book volume on June 2. The manga inspired a 13-episode television anime adaptation, which premiered in March 2016. A second season premiered on April 1 and is currently airing. Animax Asia aired a simulcast of the first season, and is also airing a simulcast of the second season.
Horikoshi's original manga also inspired an event anime that screened in Tokyo in November and then in four other Japanese cities in December. The anime shipped on DVD in Japan with a limited edition of the 13th volume the manga on April 4. A second OVA shipped on DVD in Japan with a limited edition of the 14th volume on June 2.
