M&C! Licenses Your Flowery Heart, Please Hug Me, Eve Manga

Kaori Matsumoto's Why He Doesn't Have A Girlfriend also licensed

Indonesian publisher M&C! announced on Thursday that it has licensed Sōta Kuwahara's Your Flowery Heart (Kokoro Kimiiro Sakura Iro), Atsuko Yakushiji's Please Hug Me, Eve (Gyutto Shite Eve), and Kaori Matsumoto's Why He Doesn't Have A Girlfriend (Kare ga Kanojo o Tsukuranai Riyū) manga. All three manga are slated to launch on September 20.

Your Flowery Heart centers on two middle schoolers named Koharu Utahara and Yōsuke Hanaeda. Yōsuke has never hesitated in declaring Koharu as his future wife since they became friends in childhood, and he always tells her how much he loves her, leaving Koharu constantly embarrassed. The manga depicts their relationship, as well as their interactions with their parents, siblings, and classmates.

Kuwahara published a one-shot manga of the same title in Hobunsha's Manga Time Special magazine in 2008, and turned it into a series in 2009. The manga moved to Manga Time Lovely for three months in 2011, before moving to Manga Time Family, where it ended in 2014. Hobunsha published three compiled book volumes for the manga.

M&C! previously published Kuwahara's Honey Rabbit (Hanirabi!) manga in January 2015.

Please Hug Me, Eve centers on Kokomi, a girl who loves everything related to bears. In particular, she treasures Eve, a stuffed toy bear that her father gave to her as a child. She still sleeps with the toy by her side, although everyone would laugh at her if they found out. One day, Kokomi is surprised when Eve begins to talk.

Yakushiji published the manga in Shueisha's Ribon magazine in 2014. Shueisha published the manga's compiled book volume in December 2014.

Why He Doesn't Have A Girlfriend collects five one-shot manga that Matsumoto published in Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret and Bessatsu Margaret Sister magazines between 2011 and 2013. The title story centers around a girl named Taoko, who loves Ryōtarō, but Ryōtarō can't really see it. The "I My Me" story centers around Ikuno, a girl who constantly fails at making friends, but finds out a surprising secret of popular guy Todaka. The "Borderline" story centers around Minami, a boy with a feminine streak, but worries about the fact that he becomes manlier when he rides his motorcycle. The "Uten Kekkō" story revolves around Jun, who broke up with her boyfriend Kai a year ago, but Kai returns after a year to give her back her umbrella. The "Far Away" story centers on Shō, a boy who attempts to act manlier in order to win the attention of his crush Sakiko.

Matsumoto published "Far Away" in Bessatsu Margaret Sister in 2011, "Uten Kekkō" and "Borderline" in Bessatsu Margaret in 2012, and "I My Me" and "Why He Doesn't Have a Girlfriend" in Bessatsu Margaret in 2013. Shueisha published the book in May 2013.
