Games ship in Japan on November 9

Koei Tecmo began streaming a promotional video for its Nintendo Switch ports of Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires (Shin Sangoku Musou 7: Empires), Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada (Sengoku Musou ~Sanada Maru~), and Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate (Musō Orochi 2 Ultimate) on Friday. The video previews the games in that order.

All three games will ship on November 9 in Japan.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires is an update to Dynasty Warriors 8 and Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends. Koei Tecmo Games released the game in Japan in November 2014 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Xbox One.

Koei Tecmo also released the game in the West in January 2015, adding a version for PC. The company later also ported the game to PlayStation Vita.

Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada shipped in Japan for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita on November 23. Koei Tecmo Games released the game for PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam in North America and Europe in May.

Koei Tecmo describes the game:

The tale of the Sanada Clan begins with patriarch Masayuki Sanada, a much-requested character who joins the SAMURAI WARRIORS series for the first time. The player follows Masayuki's first battle, trailing the clan's meteoric rise from lowly vassals to powerful lords which led to the birth of the fan-favorite samurai, Yukimura Sanada. Continuing the clan's legacy, players will then journey from boyhood as the legendary warrior, following his footsteps as Yukimura rises to the title of “The Crimson Demon of War.” Players will also experience the epic tale of his father's reign and his finest battles, up to his valiant final stand at the Siege of Osaka.

Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate shipped for PS3 and PS Vita in Japan in September 2013. A PS4 version launched in June 2014. In the West, the game launched in September 2014 on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and PS Vita.

The original Warriors Orochi game featured characters from Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors while Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate also added characters from the Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden, Soul Calibur and Atelier series, among others, for a total of more than 142 playable characters.
