Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace Anime Gets 2nd Stage Play

The official website for the Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace anime revealed that the anime's second stage play adaptation titled Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace ~Panorama Shima no Kaijin (Mysterious Stories of Ranpo: Game of Laplace ~Phantom of Panorama Island~) will run from April 13 to April 22 at the Theater Sun Mall in Shinjuku, Japan.
The story follows Akechi, Kobayashi, and Hashiba as they investigate the mysterious resurrection of dead people in Panorama Island. Tomoharu Suzuki is directing the play and writing the screenplay. Makoto Uezu, the anime's screenwriter, is supervising the screenplay, and Kazuki Unebasami is serving as producer.

The series' first stage play adaptation ran from April 12 to April 16 at Theater Sun Mall in Shinjuku.
The Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace anime series premiered on Fuji TV's noitamina block in July 2015. Funimation streamed the series as it airs in Japan and released the series on home video.
The anime's story, loosely based on the works of classic mystery novelist Rampo Edogawa, takes place at a certain middle school where several murder cases take place. Kobayashi, a boy who goes to this school, meets genius detective Akechi, who comes to the school to investigate. Kobayashi takes an interest in Akechi and, in spite of his friend Hashiba's worries, he volunteers to be Akechi's assistant.
