Ayumu Murase, Rio Natsuki, Norio Kobayashi return from otome game for Spring anime

The official website for Nil Admirari no Tenbin (Libra of Nil Admirari), the television anime of Idea Factory and Otomate's Nil Admirari no Tenbin: Teito Genwaku Kitan romance game, began streaming the anime's first full promotional video on Monday. The video reveals additional cast members and three of the anime's television channels (Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and BS Fuji).

The newly announced cast members, including three reprising their roles from the game, are:

Juri Kimura as Tsugumi Kuze (the default name of the unvoiced protagonist in the original game)

Ayumu Murase as Hitaki Kuze, the protagonist's little brother and would-be male heir in the game

Rio Natsuki as Shiori Tokimiya, the search party head for the Imperial Library Information Assets Management Bureau in the game

Norio Kobayashi as Keizaburō Ōchi, the Kuze family's servant responsible for the protagonist and Hitaki in the game

The returning cast from the game also includes:

Masahiro Takata (Super Seisyun Brothers director, Kenka Banchō Otome: Girl Beats Boys episode director) is directing the anime at studio Zero-G. Tomoko Konparu (Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 1000% all four seasons, Kimi ni Todoke - From Me to You both seasons) is overseeing the series scripts, and Yukie Sakō (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal first two seasons) is designing the characters. Tomoki Hasegawa (NANA, Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei) is composing the music at Pony Canyon.

The anime will premiere this spring. The United Cinema Aqua City Odaiba theater in Tokyo will host two advance screenings of the first two episodes with cast members Juri Kimura, Yūki Kaji, and Ryota Ohsaka on March 3.

The story of the game is set in the Taisho Era at the beginning of the 20th century — except the era did not end in 15 years (as it did in real life) but lasted 25 years. To protect her family who fell from their former glory, a girl decides to marry a man whose name she does not even know. However, before she does, her little brother commits suicide in a mysterious fire, with an old book in hand.

The Imperial Library Information Assets Management Bureau — also known as "Fukurō" — then appears before the confused girl. According to the Fukurō, there exists books called Maremono, which exert a great influence on those who read it. Moreover, the girl gained the ability to see an "Aura" due to the incident with her brother. Despite her confusion, the girl chooses to leave the "birdcage" of her former life.

Otomate released the original game in April 2016. Otomate is developing a sequel titled Nil Admirari no Tenbin: Kuroyuri Enyōtan that shipped on September 21. Satoi and Yuma Katagiri are returning as illustrator and scenario writer, respectively.
