Animax Asia Premieres SukaSuka, Armed Girl's Machiavellism Anime on February 14

Both anime premiered in April during spring 2017 season

Animax Asia revealed on Wednesday that its airing of the SukaSuka and Armed Girl's Machiavellism anime is slated for February 14.

Animax Asia will air two episodes of SukaSuka every Wednesday and Thursday at 8:00 p.m. GMT +8. The channel will air two episodes of Armed Girl's Machiavellism every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 10:00 p.m. GMT +8

SukaSuka adapts writer Akira Kareno and illustrator ue's What do you do at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us? (Shūmatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii Desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii Desu ka?) light novel series. The 12-episode anime premiered last April.

The anime is set in a world where humans have long since died out in an apocalyptic war with god-like beings, with the aftermath of that war awakening "Beasts" that completed the desolation of the world. In desperation, the surviving demi-human races flee to floating islands to escape, occasionally venturing down to the surface in expeditions for lost magic and technology. In one of these expeditions, they find Willem, the last surviving human brave, frozen in time since the war. After awakening, Willem lives out an aimless life, until directed by a friend to a military desk job that entails the handling of "Leprechauns," individuals who wield long-forgotten weapons, born and bred to fight and give their lives to stave off any Beast incursion. Here, Willem meets Ctholly, the eldest of the Fairies, finding kinship in each other through a common life spent in violence.

Kareno personally handled series composition, and also penned the scripts alongside Mariko Mochizuki (Aquarion Logos), Shingo Nagai (New Game!), and Toshizo Nemoto (Macross Delta). Jun'ichi Wada (The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan, Ragnastrike Angels) directed the series at C2C and Satelight. Tōru Imanishi (Ragnastrike Angels) designed the characters for animation based on ue's original character designs and also served as chief animation director.

Armed Girl's Machiavellism is based on Karuna Kanzaki and Yūya Kurokami's Busō Shōjo Machiavellism manga. The 12-episode anime premiered last April.

The "school rebellion battle action" story follows Fudō Nomura, who transfers to a school where girls carry weapons to rule mercilessly over the boys. Shortly after transferring he becomes a target of Rin Onigawara, a member of the Five Ruling Swords that commands the school. In order break free he must defeat the Five Ruling Swords.

Hideki Tachibana (BlazBlue Alter Memory, Dragon Crisis!, H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~) directed the anime at the Studio Silver Link (Ange Vierge, Dusk maiden of Amnesia). Kento Shimoyama (Bleach, Naruto Spin-Off: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals, Servant × Service) supervised the series scripts, and Shoko Takimoto (BONJOUR Sweet Love Patisserie, Chaos Dragon, Senran Kagura: Estival Versus - Festival Eve Full of Swimsuits) designed the characters. Team-MAX's Hiromi Mizutani (Hell Girl, Non Non Biyori, Toriko) composed the music at Nippon Columbia.
