Event takes place on March 17-18

Anime Festival Asia announced on Monday that singers May'n and Mika Kobayashi will perform at AFA's Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden event in Singapore on March 17.

Mika Kobayashi is a singer and pianist who debuted in 2005 with her mini-album Tsukiyo no Kakeochi. She has since released four singles and six albums. She is a frequent collaborator on anime with music composition by Hiroyuki Sawano — such as Kill la Kill, Attack on Titan, Guilty Crown, and Aldnoah.Zero — where she performs original songs or backing vocals in pieces that Sawano composed. She composes most of her own music in her solo singles and albums.

May'n performed songs as the Macross Frontier anime's "Galactic Fairy" idol Sheryl Nome. Beyond her performances for Macross Frontier, May'n has performed theme songs for anime series including Accel World, Phi-Brain - Puzzle of God, Aria the Scarlet Ammo, Inari Kon Kon, and M3 - Sono Kuroki Hagane. She performed the opening theme song for the television anime series Aquarion Logos with composer Yoko Kanno, and also performed the opening theme song for the Taboo Tattoo anime, and the ending theme song for the Izetta: The Last Witch anime. She most recently reprised her role as the singing voice of Sheryl Nome with the new song "Gooorgeous," and collaborated with the Wake Up, Girls! group to perform the opening theme song for the Restaurant to Another World anime. She also performed the second opening theme song for The Ancient Magus' Bride anime.

The Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden will take place at the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore on March 17 to 18. Attendance to the event is free. Aside from the concerts, celebrity cosplayers will attend the event, and the event will also host Pokémon events, and a film screening of an as-yet unannounced film.
