Yūki Ono, Lynn defends Japan from Mongol invaders in NAZ anime

The official website for the television anime of Nanahiko Takagi's Angolmois: Genkō Kassen-ki manga announced two cast members, additional staff members, and the July premiere on Tuesday.

The anime stars:

Yūki Ono as Kuchii Jinzaburō, a Kamakura samurai who was exiled after some incident.

Lynn as Teruhi, the leader Sō Sukekuni's daughter with beauty that anyone finds captivating. She heads into the battlefield, wielding her own bow.

Masayori Komine (animation director on Macross Frontier: Sayonara no Tsubasa, DRAMAtical Murder) is serving not only as character designer as previously announced, but also chief animation director. Kumiko Habara (episode director on Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal II, Battle Spirits Burning Soul) is serving as assistant director.

As previously announced, Takayuki Kuriyama (episode director on Re:CREATORS) is directing at NAZ. Shogo Yasukawa (Chivalry of a Failed Knight, Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma) is in charge of the series scripts.

The traditional historical epic adventure centers around a samurai defending Japan against the first Mongol invasion of 1274.

The manga debuted in Kadokawa's Samurai Ace magazine in 2013, and moved in 2014 onto Kadokawa's ComicWalker app. Kadokawa will publish the ninth compiled book volume on March 26.
