Masaaki Yuasa film will be release on June 25

Anime Limited has confirmed that Masaaki Yuasa's Night is Short, Walk On Girl will be on Blu-ray and DVD on June 25.

The film will be released as a Limited Blu-ray/DVD combo set (pictured left) as well as a standard Blu-ray and DVD. The Limited edition will contain a 52-page art book. The film is subtitled only, as no English dub exists.

Anime Limited will also offer the Limited Edition in a bundle with a bonus A3 poster. This bundle will be available exclusively though the AllTheAnime site; orders will begin from June 15, while the cutoff date will be made known when the pre-orders begin. The A3 poster will be shipped separately, potentially at a different time from the Limited Edition.

Anime Limited describes the film as follows:

"Senpai” is a man smitten with his inscrutable junior, The Girl with Black Hair. Although he plans to woo her by engineering a series of “coincidental” encounters, he reckons without the exploratory nature of this girl as she roams through an abstract, bustling night in Kyoto. From pub crawls to festivals, book fairs to impromptu musical performances, the night is short and there's much to take in – how can “Senpai” possibly grab the attention of the apple of his eye?

The main staff of The Tatami Galaxy anime returned for the film. Masaaki Yuasa directed the film at his Science SARU studio, and Makoto Ueda wrote the script. Yūsuke Nakamura, the cover artist for the original novel as well as The Tatami Galaxy, designed the characters. Michiru Oshima composed the music.

The story takes place in Kyoto, and follows an upperclassman ("Sempai") who falls in love with his underclassman ("Girl with Black Hair") and tries to get her attention.

Night is Short, Walk On Girl opened in Japan in April 2017 The film adapts Tomihiko Morimi's (The Eccentric Family, The Tatami Galaxy) novel of the same name.

Anime Limited also mentions that the home release of Yuasa's Lu over the wall will be soon.
