Manga about modern girl who travels to Meiji era to bake pastries for count launched in 2014, ended in 2015

Indonesian publisher Elex Media Komputindo announced on Friday that it has licensed Haruka Fukushima's Hakushaku-sama wa Amai Yoru ga o Suki (The Count is Fond of Sweet Nights) manga.

The manga centers on Amayo Noeru, a 15-year-old girl who dreams of being a pastry chef, but has many difficulties in life. When she falls from a tree, she finds herself suddenly transported into the Meiji era, where she meets the blonde-haired, blue-eyed count Tomeka. Tomeka allows her to bake as many Western pastries as she likes, but asks her to be his wife in exchange.

Fukushima launched the manga in Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine in December 2014, and ended it in December 2015. Kodansha published three compiled book volumes for the manga.

Elex Media previously published all three volumes of Fukushima's Chocolate manga. The company also began releasing Fukushima's Your Melody manga in February 2017, and released the fourth and final volume in April 2017. Elex Media licensed Fukushima's Animal Official (1-nen 5-kumi Ikimono Gakari) manga, and published the sixth and final volume on March 22.
