Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: Mace of Judgement Side Story Manga Ends

The Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam side story manga Mobile Suit Z Gundam Gaiden: Mace of Judgement (Shinpan no Mace) ended in this year's September issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine on Friday.
The story takes place in Universal Century 0089, in a period of continued tensions following the First Neo Zeon War. Earth Federation soldier Jorn has been assigned to the Salamis-class cruiser Delphoi, and it has been a year since he has seen the one he loves, Iris. The joy of their reunion is short-lived, as a message comes in from a Neo Zeon refugee asteroid base, and Earth faces a new crisis. Jorn pilots the black Gundam Gullinbursti into battle.
The manga launched in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh in November 2016, and the second compiled volume shipped on February 26. ROHGUN draws the series.
The manga is based on Junichi Kamino's Advance of Zeta: Toki ni Aragaishi Mono novel series that Kadokawa began publishing in its Dengeki Hobby Magazine in 2010, specifically the 2011 Mace of Judgement light novel. The novel series mostly takes place in U.C. 0085 and later. Yū Akiba launched a manga adaptation of the novels in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh in 2012, but the magazine later canceled the series in 2014 due to the author's health.
