Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS Game's Opening Video Unveiled

Preview video for Nijigasaki High School idols' November 21 debut album also posted

The "Love Live! Announcement Event" at Tokyo Game Show revealed the opening video for KLab Games and Bushiroad's Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS smartphone game on Thursday. The video shows the characters from μ's, Aqours, and the Nijigasaki High School School Idol Appreciation Club performing on the same stage.

The official YouTube channel for the Love Live! franchise also began streaming a preview video for the Nijigasaki High School School Idol Appreciation Club in-story idol group members' first CD album release, TOKIMEKI Runners. The album will contain the titular song as well as a solo song for each of the members, and will ship on November 21 with a CG animation music video for "TOKIMEKI Runners," and the above opening video for the Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS game.

The game was originally slated for release in 2018, but has been delayed to 2019.

The game will be a new version of the Love Live! School Idol Festival smartphone game. The new version will include the members of Nijigasaki Academy's Idol Appreciation Club who were introduced last year as part of the game's "Perfect Dream Project" (PDP).

The new game will offer a completely original fully-voiced new story that will bring the members of both μ's and Aqours together. The story will include both stories that involve each school, as well as personal stories that deepen the bonds between two characters, as well as a larger story that will cross the boundaries between all three schools.

The game will also bring new nine-member formation dances, and will have new gameplay systems for the concerts other than the rhythm game that has been present in the game so far. The new game will allow players to customize the activities of the characters and personalize their skills through a skill tree.

Bushiroad and KLab released the Love Live! School Idol Festival rhythm action and adventure game in English on iOS and Android devices in May 2014. The game added the Love Live! Sunshine!! characters to the game in September 2016. The game reached 40 million users worldwide last November.

The game also received an arcade version titled Love Live! School idol festival ~afterschool Activity~ that launched in Japan in 2016.
