GoHands' Original W'z Anime Reveals 5 More Cast Members, New Key Visual

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Series premieres on January 5

The official website for Frontier Works and Go Hands' original anime project W'z revealed five more cast members and character designs for the series on Thursday.

Shunsuke Takeuchi as Seba, who used to be a hitman for an underground organization. His name is an alias.

Takuya Eguchi as Gai, who knows a lot about mountain climbing and stars. He has a friendly and energetic personality, but because he's reckless, he makes trouble for others.

Yoshinosuke Yamagami as Masataka, who is intellectual and quiet. His sly tactics are his strong point.

Daisuke Namikawa as Fumiyuki, a pro DJ and club manager whom Yukiya looks up to. His language is so peculiar no one knows what he's saying.

Jun Fukuyama as Reijirō, Yukiya's father who works as a music engineer. His language is harsh but he possesses deep empathy for others.

The site also revealed a new key visual.

The anime centers on Yukiya, who is "probably" 14 years old. He spends his time DJ-ing alone. Due to his father's influence, he's listened to house music since he was young, and he uploads videos online. He wants to convey something to someone. He wants to be recognized, and become important. But getting hurt is scary. One day, while trying to get more views, he does something that can't be undone. And he sees a live broadcast from "that world." Yukiya believes he can't do anything alone, but that he could accomplish something if he were doing it together with someone else.

The anime will premiere on January 5, and will air on MBS, Tokyo MX, TVQ, and BS11. The show will also stream online. The anime is set in Osaka, similar to Go Hands' previous anime Hand Shakers.

Previously revealed cast members include:

Katsumi Fukuhara (In Another World With My Smartphone's Tōya Mochizuki) as Yukiya/Y's, a 14-year-old student whose hobby is DJ-ing.

Toshiki Masuda as Midori, a 19-year-old man who became a company director a young age.

GOON TRAX is in charge of the show's music. DJ RENA is credited with video and musical production cooperation. The following musical artists will participate in the series:

Frontier Works and Go Hands previously stated that the show is targeted toward women.
