Sentai Filmworks Licenses Bermuda Triangle ~Colorful Pastrale~ Anime

Sentai Filmworks announced on Tuesday that it has licensed the Bermuda Triangle: Colorful Pastrale television anime and plans to stream it as a simulcast this winter before eventually releasing it on home video. The license covers the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal.
The series will premiere on January 12 at 10:00 p.m. on the Tokyo MX station.
The anime is a spinoff of the Cardfight!! Vanguard franchise and follows the in-story Bermuda Triangle mermaid idols. Sentai Filmworks describes the story:
Mermaids are known worldwide as bewitching mythological creatures of the sea. Despite their charms and otherworldly powers, daily life for these beings comes with everyday problems. But there's nothing that can't be overcome with the support of friends. Follow the adventures of five young mermaids as they explore their town and the world around them in this delightful slice-of-life series that takes viewers to an enchanting world beneath the waves.
Junji Nishimura (Dog Days, ViVid Strike!, Basilisk: Ōka Ninpōchō) is directing at Seven Arcs Pictures, and Michiko Yokote (Squid Girl, Genshiken) is in charge of the series scripts. Takayoshi Hashimoto (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st creature designer, Dog Days key animator) is adapting the original character designs by Takuya Fujima (Dog Days manga art, R-15, ViVid Strike!) for animation.
