Live-Action School-Live! Film's Video Features Behind-the-Scenes Footage, Interviews

The official website for the live-action film of Norimitsu Kaihō and Sadoru Chiba's School-Live! (Gakkō Gurashi!) manga began streaming a project promotional video on Monday. The video includes behind-the-scenes footage, staff interviews, and the film's previously revealed second trailer.
Issey Shibata (Real Onigokko) is directing and penning the script for the film. The film will open in Japan on January 25, after a delay from fall 2018. The film inspired a four-episode live-action mini-series prequel, titled Gakkō XXX ~Mō Hitotsu no Gakkō Gurashi! (School XXX - Another School-Live!), that debuted on Amazon Prime Video in Japan on January 16.
The film's cast members, who are all members of subgroups of the idol group Last Idol, include:
Nanami Abe (LaLuce) as Kurumi Ebisuzawa
Midori Nagatsuki (LaLuce, Chou Cream Rockets) as Yuki Takeya
Wakana Majima (Someday Somewhere) as Yūri Wakasa
Rio Kiyohara (Someday Somewhere) as Miki Naoki
Nonoka Ono plays their teacher Megumi ("Megu-nee").
Kaihō and Chiba launched the manga in Manga Time Kirara Forward in 2012, and Houbunsha published the manga's 11th compiled volume on January 12. The manga will end with the 12th volume.
Yen Press is releasing the manga in English, and the company published the ninth compiled volume in December 2017. The 10th volume is slated to ship on February 19. The company describes the series:

Kurumi Ebisuzawa, the big-sister figure Yuuri Wakasa, club advisor Megumi Sakura, and last but not least, the ever-optimistic Yuki Takeya. The manga inspired a 12-episode television anime series that premiered in July 2015. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks released the series on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in June 2017 with an English dub. HIDIVE is also streaming the series with English subtitles and with the English dub.
